More investments in technology alone won’t improve cybersecurity outcomes. Investing in people will, this is why a human-centered approach to cybersecurity makes perfect sense for organisations.
At Cyber Security World Asia at Tech Week Singapore, I highlighted 3 aspects of this approach:
👥 How a proactive focus on wellbeing can combat burnout across cybersecurity teams (as well as improve mental health imperatives across an organisation).
👥 Supporting DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging) in cyber boosts team morale, brings in new perspectives, and can help bridge the cybersecurity skills gap.
👥 Cultivating a leadership-driven cyber-aware organisational culture is essential to bridge the gap between cyber teams and the rest of the organisation, including the C-Suite.
