As we mark Cybersecurity Awareness Month and approach World Mental Health Day (Oct 10), we need to address an uncomfortable truth: no technical system, regulation, or AI guardrail is 100% foolproof.
Our primary line of defence will always be humans. But what happens when those humans are digitally exhausted?
I recently sat down and shared some thoughts with Rethi Raghuram and the EveryDay Wellness crew to discuss why human care is the missing piece in modern cybersecurity:

🤯 Technostress Weakens Security Guardrails: Cognitive fatigue from chronic digital overload dulls real-time judgment, making us significantly more vulnerable to phishing, scams, and digital manipulation.
Cybersecurity protects our devices, but cyber wellness protects the minds operating them.
💣 The AI Harms Threat Vector: With AI acceleration also accelerating digital threats, cyber wellness and mental health are no longer just “nice-to-have” HR perks. They should be seen as a core operational requirement.
If we want a digitally secure society, we must build a digitally resilient workforce first.
📌 Cybersecurity isn’t a one-month checklist. I’m currently delivering keynotes and interactive talks across organisations for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. But building a cyber-aware, digitally resilient workforce shouldn’t be restricted to just one month in a year!
Creating an environment where employees can make smart, vigilant digital choices requires sustained, human-centered culture all year round.
