    How do we inspire, attract and retain women and girls in #cybersecurity? I got the opportunity to ask these questions to a high-profile panel of cybersecurity leaders at my inaugural Singapore International Cyber Week event late last month.

    Some of my key takeaways were:

    ☑️ There is no linear career path in cybersec – take the opportunities that come your way and don’t fear taking the plunge.

    ☑️Find mentors and role models that can guide and inspire you.

    ☑️Media images and communication around girls and women in cyber must change to highlight the diversity of people and roles in the sector.

    ☑️Leaders and managers must prioritize and promote employee #wellbeing and allow for better work-life balance. Measures such as flexible working arrangements are key in retaining women.

    I hope these conversations inspire girls and women to enter the cyber workforce, and nudge employers to focus on employee wellbeing and #safety.
