PM Wong’s National Day Message 2026 underscored a critical reality: navigating an uncertain global landscape requires continuous resilience and proactive future-proofing.

While technology (especially #AI) and innovation are at the heart of this transformation, I believe that true resilience lies in risk management at the outset, remaining open to change, and embracing diversity.

Tomorrow, India celebrates its 80th Independence Day. 🇮🇳 My recent visit to Bangalore coincided with youth-led protests, a vivid reminder of the transformative power of civic voice. Watching young people all over the country channel their aspirations and demand to be heard was inspiring.

Having started my career in public policy reform and citizen awareness (passions I carry to this day), the protests were a powerful reminder that sustainable governance and public trust rely on active listening, humility, and dialogue.

Technology, education, and critical thinking are the ultimate equalizers today, and we need to ensure we don’t just return to the status quo. Ultimately, people make all the difference, and they should be nurtured, included, and understood as we move forward together.
