Not just skills or technology — but community, mentorship, and the courage to keep going until you find where you belong.

This month we celebrate the progress that women have made in our collective efforts towards greater equality. There is still some way to go – what looks equal on the outside has complex layers left to navigate. Yet, each year brings with it new opportunities and alliances.

It starts with the power of the individual, and the social ties and community power they build and leverage. Grateful for my tribe – loved ones, friends, allies, and colleagues, whose support keeps me powered up and able to give back.
This includes the wonderful local and global cybersecurity community!

Thank you to ISC2 Singapore Chapter for the opportunity to share a few nuggets of wisdom, alongside some illustrious women in cyber, for women (or anyone really!) entering or looking to thrive in cybersecurity (or any new domain):

💪 Keep trying until you find your place and your people
💪 Seek mentors, allies, and supportive communities
💪 Stay where your contributions are valued
💪 Speak up for yourself and others
💪 Invest in communication and leadership skills

    And perhaps most importantly:
💪 Have fun, give back, and make each day count. Life is more than a job title.

    Happy International Women’s Day/Month 🤍.
May you continue to be the sparkle in someone else’s life ✨.
